  1. I've only been messing with dvd recording for 4 months so bear with me.

I've downloaded more crap than a pervert with a stolen credit card. If someone could help me out I'd be eternally grateful. I don't think my keyboard can take much more abuse from my forehead.

    What I can't do:
Backup copyrighted vhs tapes to dvd via my CH 1500. The little cp symbol pops up.

I usually like to figure these things out on my own but I'm in a time crunch. I could run them through my computer but heavens to betsy that takes forever!

    What I can do:
    Backup dvds via X Copy Express(Pioneer 106)
Copy backups via Drag N Drop
Record tv shows with Media Center (dvr-ms) then burn onto dvd-r via Click to DVD
Record tv shows to dvd+rw via CH 1500.
Edit and re-record dvd+rw via Ulead Movie Factory(thanks MediaMan!) then copy to dvd-r via Drag n Drop.

I added what I can do in case someone is trying to do the same things. If anyone has questions, ask away.

  6. row man , i see your post about the video clarifier that your friends say works great , i don't know if you have been watching my post but ordered a video clarifier for $110.00 (electric) and have it hooked inbetween my v.c.r. and the cyberhome dvdr and it still won't let me copy stuff . do your friends have a cyberhome dvdr to or just vc.r.'s ??? as i said in another post i finally after going over and over things to make sure connections are right , etc. and even trying suggestions from a tech helper from the facet co. i have sent the clarifier back and ask them to see if it was defective and if so to send me another one and if not i guess i'll have to get my money back as it isn't working with the cyberhome dvdr . does anyone else have this problem with the clarifier and the cyberhome dvd recorder ??? any help on this would be appreciated.

  7. I tried six ways from Sunday to get mine hooked up! Hubby is the audio-visual type and he got it going in about 30 minutes. I can take a pic of the backs of my equipment if it would help.
