    i have a 1.35gb xvid file that i would like to convert to svcd over 2 cds the movie created is 3h:16m im having difficulties creating the svcd can nebody point me in the right direction

    No way you can get an SVCD with 1h:38m per disk (ie 2 disks) that will be worth watching. The bitrate is far too low at 800 kbps.

    Even 3 disks of 1h:5m each is at the far end of the range for SVCD, as the bitrate will be 1400 kbps. If you use TMPGEnc, 352x480 (CVD) resolution and 2-pass VBR (0 min, 2500 max, 1400 avg.) the quality will be acceptable. Look for CVD templates in the Tools section.

    Even better is to put it on 4 disks. CD's are cheap.
