  1. hi everyone,
i'm trying to add some subtitles in some anime using virtual dub and sub station alpha.. i followed one of the guides on how to add subtitles in and it work fine, but heres my problem, when trying to encode the video to avi with virtual dub its encoding it to one huge file, when i mean huge, i mean 15gb huge on a video that was only bout 250mb to begin with... thats my problem so if anybody can help that would be real nice...

oh and does anyone know how to erase permenant subtitles or write overthem so it wont be seen? i tried to write over it but u can still see some of the words underneath...

    thanks again

to overwrite an area of the screen, select video - filters - fill, and fill the area with the old subs. then add you filter to put on the new subs. to use compressed output, hit video - compression and choose your codec. sounds like you want Divx.
