  1. I have some .avi and .mkv documentaries with separated .srt subtitles, and wanted to watch them on my PS3 with the subs, but without having any quality loss.

I tried using PS3 Media Server, but when streaming, most of the videos didnt even open on the PS3.

So I tried to put the subtitles on the video itself.

I got the MKV video excracted using MKVextractGUI, and then got a .H264 video and an AC3 audio. Then I tried to merge them with TsMuxer. I added the video, audio and subtitle files, and tried to create a .ts, .m2ts and a BD, but the subtitles didnt appear in any of them, not even when watching on the PC.

I need someway to run the subtitles on the PS3 without having any quality loss.

    Thank you for your atention!

  3. Thanks for the awnser, Baldrick!

I opened multiavchd and used the "Join" button. There I selected the folder that have the .mkv video and the .srt, both with the same name. He said my TsMuxeR version was incompatible (1.10.6), and that the process may fail. I continued and he asked if I wanted to remux it, so I just cliked yes and after a cuple of minutes the new file was ready. In proprieties it still said it was a MKV file, and when I tryied it, the subtitles still didnt appear.

  4. With an avi you can have subs if you
1 Name the files exactly the same eg my.movie.avi and my movie.srt
2 Put them in a folder.
    Copy folder to USB

This will work if playing from USB thru BD Player via TV. Not sure re PS3
