I posted a bit ago that Mainconcept was freezing on a capture to mpeg on a compact VHS tape.
I was able to capture to "native format" using MC. It dropped frames at some spots in the movie, but I was then able to encode using MC to mpeg.
This makes me think that the freezing is probably due to bad spots on the vhs tape. NOTE: WinDVD did NOT freeze when going directly to mpg.
I am hoping the AVT-8710 I have ordered will help with this issue as capturing to mpg seems to be significantly quicker, as opposed to capture to AVI and convert.....
