  1. ok - for a long time i have had my dvd player going into my vcr and then into the tv (i only have one connection on the tv and the sat dish uses it)

so basically its always worked fine

now the last couple days - when i start it up - works fine - then within 2-6 seconds - the video goes off - the audio you can still hear - if i channel up and back on the vcr - it shows up again for 2-6 seconds

    any ideas why?

this is happening with dvds i burn, and store bought dvds

    thank you

Maybe your VCR is on the blink?

No. Just quality depending on the brand/grade you pick out.
