Ok, making my own menu for TMPGEnc DVD Author v1.5.20.62
1. Create new theme.
2. Use Layout 4 (#1) for Main and Track Menu's.
3. Cloud Buttons, no Thumbnail Frame and CG#5 for background.
I moved the Thumbnails around a bit and made them bigger, then also moved the Chapter Text to line up with the Thumbnails.
If I go beyond Four Chapters the second page reverts to the defaults and must be modifed as well. Its kind of hard to get everything to be in the same position when I go from page one to page two etc.
Is there some way to define a particular size and position for the thumbnails and the chapter text so that all pages will be the same?
I'm also looking for more choices for backgrounds, don't want pictures for backgrounds just more choices of colors and patterns.
Thanks for all advice.

Welcome to the limitations of the program.
Quote from the TMPGEnc DVD Author website, "There aren't any other Templates now. But you must not use Templates, ever tryed the Button "Edit menu theme"?".
Try DVDLab instead.Cheers, Jim

Not really, but there's a slightly easier way than just moving them around until you get lucky and they're in the right place.
Click on 'Edit Menu Theme'. In the lower left there's a box where you can set the position of each button. -

During the actual project I know you can then change each chapter font indivually.
TMPGEnc DVD Author is a great but simple to use product, If they just add a few capabilities it would be awesome for an entry level Authoring program. -
Don't know why I didn't think of this before, but there is another way that you might find easier and/or faster. Click on Edit Menu Theme, then click on the Options button in the upper right. Then you can select several options that help line up buttons without having to type in the coordinates for each one. Select 'Always Adjust to Grid' and either 'Show Grid' or Show Center Lines. Then when you move a button it will be locked into the grid.

Did you guys know that if you highlight several boxes and then adjust the size of one, they all get adjusted at once?

Wonder if I default the chapter text boxes smaller if the font size on my project would default smaller. I find the default font sizes for Track title and chapters to be to large.
Thanks for the suggestions, any more would be appreciated. -
I did find that if you play around with the size of the text boxes for Track and chapter you can get your theme to have a particular font size for these areas.
Takes a bit to get it set up but once you do during a project you only have to type the text you want in each box and not also select a font size. -
I have had some problems with final TMPGEnc DVD Author menus on stand alone DVD players: once I start watching a movie or a chapter, I can't get back to the main menu, it just runs until the end, and then goes back to the begining of the first chapter. Is that "normal"?
