Is it a burned DVD? According to this your player on plays "Few DVD+R". If it's not a commercialy pressed DVD or something other than DVD+R it's not going to play.

Please be a lot more specific.

Is the disc a commercially pressed disc (you bought it) ? If so, what region is it ? What region are you in at the moment ?

or is it a burnt copy ? If so, what program was it burnt with ? What discs are you using (manufacturer) ? speed ? +/- ?

We are not mind readers you know.
    If in doubt, Google it.

You could always play it on your computer, assuming it has a DVD drive.

According to the page I linked to, your player only plays DVD+R discs. What you have is a DVD-R disc.

    Hi locnej
All the films we buy in stores or rent in the UK are Region 2 , any burned disc or copy doesn't have a region code .
Is it just the one disc that you can't play , those datawrite red are pretty cheap nasty discs , it may just be that your player doesn't like that disc.
Have you got anything else to try the disc on , does your pc have a dvd drive or have you got a ps2.
You often find that the cheap players that Asda and Kwik Save sell for around £30 have more chance of of playing back-ups successfully than the bigger brands of player.
