Newer Nero burning slower

I just upgraded to Nero 6.3.1.10 (from 5 something), and now my CD's burn at 24-32x with my Plextor Premium 52x, where before they burned usually at 52x or sometimes 40x depending on the CD. Im using the same exact CD batch. Anyone else have this issue?

Not that same issue, but it started to hang before the burn was finished. Sometimes at 5%, sometimes at 95%

The burner busy light would stay on, the status bar for Nero wouldn't change, but at a glance it would look just like it was burning, and the green indicator was lit.

Plus I didn't like the Fisher Price interface on Nero 6.

Going back to 5.5.9.14 solved the problem. They'll have to drag me away from my PC kicking and screaming before I let anyone put Nero 6 back on it :P

I have two machines at home, both running Win2K, both hung the same way while burning. XP is not the fault .....it's Nero 6. :P

I'm sorry all of you XP fans, but the truth of the matter is that is junk all the way, Not Nero.
