  1. I am burning some DVD's tonight and I really need some help fast guys.. I need to combine a .m2v video file and a .wav file... should i convert the .wav to .ac3 or what should I do? I am using DVD Architect 2.0 to author my DVD and when I try to merge the audio in with the video it says something about an error and a codec wasn't opened properly with the .wav file... What do I do?!

I would convert the audio to ac3 . There is no easier way than a programme called ffmpeggui . I haven't used DVD Achitect though.

You shouldn't have to mux the m2v with the audio, though I haven't used DVD Architect either.

Make sure the wav is either 44 or 48 khz cause if its lower such as 22khz then you will get that error.

Load the file in virtualdub and choose audio/full processing mode/conversion and change to 48khz if it is a lower rate such as 22khz then save wav as.

first - don't read most of the posts above ....

    for DVD Architect

it requires a progam stream for your video , so load the m2v file in tmpgenc mpeg tools and mux it with NO audio to a mpeg file ..

and for the audio -- no mater the sample rate , load it (the wav file) into DVD Architect and DVDA will convert it to an ac3 file for you when you make the project -- and change sample rate if required ..

read the manual on DVDA 2

if you ripped it out of a avi file --

even if you saved it as wav ... it may be a mp3 or ac3 file

if it is ac3 , use ac3fix on it ...

if it is a VBR mp3 file .. re-rip it out of v-dub in full proccessing mode and save it as a wav .

if it is a CBR mp3 , it should import just fine
