  1. I want to suggest a boycott against in-theatre viewing of the debuting of The Chronicles' of Riddick (though it is unlikely to happen). Recently, Universal Studios purchased 15,000 USD in custom computers from the company for which I work and upon completion of video editing, tried to return the systems for full refund under our 30 Day Return policy. Our policy does not include custom orders unless defective. Their excuse? The systems never worked and are defective. So why wait till completion of work on the movie before looking to return the product? I am tired of the MPAA and RIAA!! I wrote to one of the major recording labels for an exchange of CD not allowed by the retailer and they told me to get a life! Heaven forbid any honest paying customer should ever buy a CD!

    What is to be done!?

  7. Call your local 'investigative' news team. They go apeshit over stuff like this.

  8. No OS. They use Linux. Returned the systems without the 1U Rackmount flaps! Can't even sell the systems now. Burned! Unfortunately, we had to take back the systems per agreement with Reseller of systems to Universal Studios.

You should be able to charge them a re-stocking fee to replace the missing parts. That fee should include the parts and labor to put the units back to delivered condition.
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?

  10. Unfortunately, it is not my business to run and I am sure as part of the agreement with our reseller, we were not allowed to charge a restocking fee. I am having some serious issues with upper management and ownership having enough vision to protect the interests of this company and our ability to grow.

In that case, idolikaa's solution is the best one. Call your local news, explain what happened, and wait for the publicity to spread. I'm sure Universal will love this story getting out.

Universal would probably end up owning the news station or find a way to put a stop to it from airing. big giant companies are good @ doing that kind of ******* stuff.

Complain to an ABC affiliate. They're last place in the ratings this year and I'm sure they wouldn't mind getting a shot in against NBC, who just merged with Universal.

One of the good things about our media is that there are still multiple places to go within it. If one source doesn't want to hear you, go to another.
