when i add some files into the timeline to create my dvd, the sound disappears. so when i burn my dvd it comes out with no sound. the source files are avi's. can anyone help???

Might be a codec issue. I find with Vegas 4 that I can load an avi but only the video portion is shown in the editing window. I have to rip the audio and save it as a wav file, then merge the two back together and THEN load the avi back into Vegas and I can go on with what I need to do. Try ripping the audio and saving it as a wav....VDub should be able to do this with no problems.
