Burning Speed problem - Sony DRU-500AX??

I'm having a problem with the burning speed on my DRU-500AX. I have had this burner for about a year and it has treated me great. I was able to burn at 4x constantly out of the box and never touched the (2.0c) firmware for fear of killing the drive.

Anyway, in the last few weeks, I have only been able to burn at 2x. I'm still using the same spindle of Ritek G04's that I've burned at 4x on just a few weeks ago.

Any ideas on why this could happen? I ran a search and found this thread, but that didn't help much since I know I'm still on the same setup and same spindle of blank discs. I use DVD Decrypter/Instant Copy on all my discs and it hasn't failed me yet.

Realy don't know why it would be doing that,but I thank you shoud
update your firmware. Download it from Sony site,the firmware is
tested so it be alright to use.
