  1. I wanted to know how to make a DVD duplicator just 1 to 1 with a Sony DRU-500AX, a Sony 16x DVD-rom drive, & a 5 drive bay case, and I need to know what else I need besides a Controller to make this work... I also want to be able to add a hard drive to it... Any suggestions would help, and any places to buy Controllers would help, as to buying one with the exact stuff would cost...

I've never understood how duplicators work. Do they need a motherboard? Do they need software?

well, they need a board with the brains and i/o for the disc drives on it, at least. and they need software - I have an old standalone cd burner, it's got a 650mb hard drive, a SCSI burner and just enough brains to make 1:1 copies or compilations from audio discs, with a 2 line LCD screen.
