  1. I am making a backup of LOTR-Return of the kings and the movie play just fine, but in the 24 or something chapter get choppy and then stop and freeze.
I red before here that this problem is because the lens is reading from inside/out of the disk and when get close to the edge of the disk has a hard time reading when the movie is too long,in this case, about 3 hours.
    any advice?

    Lite-on LDW 811S burner
    DVD Shrink 3.1 software
    win-xp pro OS
    Maxell dvd+r disks

I have the rip file in my system and I wonder if I can reduce the size and make it play okay in my Pioneer DV-525,this standalone player can play cd'r,dvd+r,dvd-r,vcd,mp3 and cdr-w.
    thanks in advanced.

Choppy at the end is usually a combination of media/player.

My #2 DVD player will do that with TDK 2x disks, but my #1 doesn't chop, nor does my computer. Neither chop with RITEK G04's. My older DVDROM drive chops on TDK 4x +R's at around the 3 GB range (I'm amazed it reads them at all, won't read -R's).

    Test it on your PC.

And a note on LOTR3, come on 3+ hours on 1 DVDR? Go 2 DVDR's on this movie.

  5. well,I burned on one Ritek dvd-r and works perfect, this is strange, because before I wanted to copy my Aliens movie in a Ritek and I got the choppy problem and now I copied the LODR Return of the Kings which is about 3 hours and zero problems.

thanks guys,I guess the Ritek dvd-r was the solution.
