I've been making DVDSP2 templates for a while now and people seem to like them. I've been looking into iDVD templates over the past two days and think I've figured out how to make them. Would Free iDVD templates be of any use to anyone?

Hell yeah, they would!
I'd love to see some DJ / nightclub themed templates. Better yet, if you can provide some info or resources, I'll see about making my own. -

Sure, although I've been mostly sticking to DVDSP2,
and your wonderful templates, master tgpo.
BTW, I have an idea for another one if you have time,
I could try and do it myself, but I can't seem to find
a suitable source pic...i'd like to use one with a drive into
Atlanta, where the signs coming in off of I-35 i think
are instead drop zones...I think that Pittsburgh is similar,
but something with a 4 or 5 lane ( both ways) highway
that leads into a metropolitan area, where the green
signs could be replaced with drop zones....any ideas? -
I found this useful tutorial followed by this one and then this, but haven't gone through the steps of doing it myself. It is for iDVD 2, but I don't believe they have changed the template formats (since the original themes still work) so the tutorial should still do what you want.

The highway going into Atlanta
(a good example is the Ludiacriss video 'Welcome to Atlanta',
were at the end they show the view I'm talking about)
and the one going into Pittsburgh are similar to this,
but the skyline is much better....
This however is of Chicago.
The red outlines denote where the drop zones could be/should be. -
iDVD is a wonderful tool for the lazy. More templates = more laziness. You cannot lose with more templates.
If it isn't broken, take it apart and find out why.

How about a contest? Everybody make an iDVD template, and the moderators can judge the best one. We could then have a small prize like some blank TDK DVD-R's or something else not too pricey. I bet there are some talented designers over here, and it would mean more free templates. I've always wanted to put something together, but it was hard to motivate my lazy @$$.

I like contests!
I just searched Limewire for my templates and found most of them being shared, COOL! -

I like that space metal theme. I might use that one sometime. Too bad im not the creative type. If I was or ever will be i'd make band specific themes for bands that have lots of bootlegs. And of course all of these bands are video taping friendly

I would most definately be interested in some iDVD templates!!! (Free or donation)
