Hi I've tried searching the forum for this but was unable to find anything of use.
I'm using DVD Shrink 3.1 in conjunction with Nero 6 to back up DVD movies. I have complete success when using +RW's but complete failure with normal +R's. +R's burn to 100% then get a weird error when closing the disc and fails, thus wasting the disc!
Does anyone have any ideas on what the problem is and how to recrify it???

    I don't know, but I'm using TDK DVD+R (1-4x). I think they're good quality?

  4. Sorry to say, TDK use lots of lower end media in their DVDs. What about DVDDecrpter, did you try that for burning instead of Nero?

  5. Check to see if your media is manufactured by CMC magnetics or RICOH. CMC is harsh and the RICOHs are okay. By any chance are you using a Plextor 708A?

What exactly is the error message? Was it, "COULD NOT PERFORM FIX DISK" If it was just an error closing the disk you may want to go here http://www.batchdisc.com/ and run the tool to finalize the disc and saving your burn.

Thanks for batchdisc it fixed all 5 of my unfinished discs! Awesome!!!

    You rock !

I tried dvd decrypter and it worked fine (on a movie that i'd already decrypted with DVD Shrink). Maybe it's a problem with Nero 6???

  7. Actually you wouldn't have to go that far.

DVD Decrypter could close your DVD Video discs
