  1. Is there another way besides TmpegEnc, to convert 24fps or 25fps avi movie to 29.97 fps Mpeg.

All doc. on net refers to 23.978 to 29.97 fps only. I tried using pulldown but I get audio sync problem. Any ideas......

    Please help >>> ????????????

    Thanks

  2. I have a similair problem, a friend ripped deep blu sea for me..gave it to me on a cdrw as .avi...then i find out that he ripped it at 352x288 / 24fps...this is not standard. I want to make a svcd on at least 3 cdr's. after encoding the first 2 min at least 10 times with different setting in tmpgenc..I still cant get it right??...I wish there was only one way to rip a dvd...seems there are many different ways. One standard way to rip would make my svcd encode much more simple.

  3. If you search this forum using Keywords, you will almost always find the answer to your question without even waiting for someone to reply.

If you have 25 fps it is PAL. I believe you would need to convert from PAL to NTSC to achieve the 29.97 fps with audio in synch.

Why not try NTSC Film template in TMPG? Your AVI file is probably sourced from a film and also uses that frame rate.

Otherwise, search for '25 fps to 29.97 fps' and you will find more answers. Using AVI Synth is one possibility. There is probably something in one of the 'How to' guides on this site also.

    Cheers
