ok I'm having trouble converting a avi to vcd format. Panasonic MPEG Encoder works but one of the setting is off cause the sounds out of sync or the pictures screwd. under the help section set 2 reads..
Select type VCD/PAL if you have the original source in 25 fps(frames/second) or VCD/NTSC if you have the source in 29,97fps or select VCD/NTSC if the source is 23,97fps but change the fps to23,976fps under Video.
But I have the source in 20 fps,
What do i do?
Thanks

The frame rate would depend on the avi's resolution. If it happens to be 352x288 choose PAL, anything else, and I'd use film (23.976). You'll want to split the audio from the avi. Use V-dub to save as a wav file. Here's that guide http://www.vcdhelp.com/virtualdubaudio.htm. This usually works for SMR's avi's that are @ 20fps.
