I have got a problem with authoring a home DVD.
Every time I create one the picture isn't good and it skips.
Would you please instruct me how to create a DVD from
a DV tape from the first step.

Capture the dv tape to computer using a program of your choice. Once the dv file is on your computer you need to test play it and make sure it plays correctly. If it plays good then you need to test burn it onto a dvd and test play that on your TV. Once all these "test plays" are to your liking would you actually begin to create a dv tape to dvd project.Originally Posted by roi123
For such a test I suggest you begin by capturing a fairly short dv tape clip, lets say about 5 minutes worth. Encoding that clip to mpeg2 using the supplied dvd template that most any encoding program ships with. For the burn test - I suggest you buy a DVD RW disk so you can erase it and use it over on your next test and use that. Take a few notes along the way so you always know what you did wrong....etc, and try to have fun.
If you run into a problem someone here will gladly help ya. But trying to explain every detail is a lot of typing......
Good luck.
p.s. and welcome to the forum....
