This happens ever so often but when it does its something i really need or have to do.

I am trying to copy a dvdR to another dvdr ... as i said this doesnt happen all the time.

Firtly i try and do a copy disc burn (which always usually works) I get an error saying underflow

So i goto rip the files, using shrink first, comes up with a redundancy error failed to read drive :

I then swapo dvd drives this sometimes fixes the problem but sometimes doesnt as in case im talking about, same error.

I am currently trying decrypter but i feel this will fail also.

I know other people have this slight problem im just wondering ifanyone knows whats causing this? As i said its from DVDR to DVDR

    Confused

  3. gitreel: What is the format of the files created on custom DVD-/+R's? Are they .VOB's? Can you just copy them from disc to disc to make a copy?
Compatibility issues have prevented my DVD-ROM from being able to read any kind of custom burned DVD disc.

vob, ifo, and bup. The disks are usually encrypted. They have to be decrypted first. If they are double layer, the movie either needs to be transcoded or split. Sometimes you are dealing with disc images, in which the method is different.

.vob is video object, .ifo is information, and .bup is backup
