  1. i would like to compress my video clips to reduce the size so i can go ahead and archive them without ending up with 100 mb zip files .although it looks to me compression is one and the same ,compression is used to enhance playback,i simply want to reduce the file size.ive tried dr divx but it dose come out small ive tried rad video but its slow .any suggestions?

    Erm... no.

    With video, the more you compress, the worse it will look. MPEG-2 is not a lossless compression format. Even at the maximum bitrate, detail is irretrievably lost when the data is compressed.
