adobe encore with mutiple main files

i am using adobe encore for the first time. I am working with all tutorials i can find and i have hit a rough spot. here is the scenerio:

I have a two part divx movie ( cd1 and cd2 ), i use TMPGEnc Plus to convert them into two seperate files or do i convert them into one single file ( video and audio ).

When i went to load it up as two seperate files ( video and audio ) into adobe encore i became very confused.........

can anyone lead me in the right direction.

Sounds lke you are a bit over your head. First of all, you should have converted the Divx to Mpg2 as a single video and audio file but since you did not, you just load the video to the 1st video track on the Encore timeline and load the audio track to the 1st audio track on the timeline. Secondly I would suggest a good book on this program or video tutorial. A very good one is sold by Total Training. Seeing it done really makes the diference. I am on my 3 book and I am just begining to comprehend it to the point where I can actually get it to consistantly work for me.
The sad truth is that Encore is "Meant" to be used as part of the Adobe package. Meaning that if you edit and encode in Premiere, you should have "Proper" assets for Encore. Prepare these assets elsewhere and you don't know what you are doing, and you might find the program rejecting your files for one reason or another. All menus and button elements have to be .PSD files. Of course that means you must have Photoshop to create them. JPGs TIFs and BMPs will not work. I think you get what I mean. So unless you work doing this type of work and can afford these integrated family of tools, it is a bit difficult to just use one such a Encore DVD.
