So what is everyone's thoughts of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind? I thought it was a great film personally. A number of people in the theater spoke as if they hated it at the end, one said "Blair Witch made more since than that!" It does seem as if the movie is slow to start, but even in parts that seemed slow I was drawn to watch and not look away for fear of missing something.

Once we enter Joel's memory is when a smile came on my face and didn't leave the rest of the picture. I was completely into the movie, you probably could have shot me in the chest and I wouldn't have taken my eyes off the screen.

The movie was so different, so un-hollywood, so unlike the three comic book movies coming soon to theaters sometime this year that were being advertised in the lobby, it was a movie that almost dared you to think about the ideas it presented and expand on it.

    10/10

I just picked up the soundtrack. Wow. It is one of the best soundtracks I've heard in a long time. Well worth the money.

I'm out of a job on the 28th of this month. I've been "down sized".

  5. "Right-sized" is the management terminology. Have you got another job lined up? Are you still planning on taking that G5 home from work on your last day?

Can't wait to see the movie but like any decent movie it will be a few months before Australia gets a look at it.

The G5 will stay here because I'm not fond of having 67 bullet holes in my back

I just put in an application to Movie Gallery, the local movie rental place. It's not the best job, but at least I get to take about movies all day.

Eternal sunshine just started showing over here, im looking forward to seeing it - as you say it looks like a film that requires your brain to be installed. i just watched man on the moon last night (wanted to find out if carey can actually do a non-twatty-slapstick character) and that's great too, from the first moments with the titles and music, to reading in a "correct" English accent, and the wrestling thing was inspired. the bit that mad me laugh hardest was andy coming into the ring followed by his friend waving one solitary sparkler above his head. oh, and the "the network want me to say it was staged but it wasn't, it happens all the time!" "go to commercial!" "see! see! help me!"

Found it weird that danny devito and christopher lloyd were in it though, and chirstopher was even on set for Taxi. that must have been a weird role for them to play!

Notice that Devito didn't reprise his role on Taxi becuase he was already playing another character.

I loved Man on the Moon. I've found that I like a lot of Carrey's work.

If you liked Man on the Moon you will probably like Eternal Sunshine
