  1. hi.

i dont know why it was recorded,
    but

-the mobile telephone was 1meter far away from the VHS player and DVD recorder.
-the DVD recorder is on the VHS player
-i got no SMS, or a telephone call, when the noise was recorded!!!!
    - i never got this noise before, when record a DVD ((

does anyone know other reason why, and which source this noise has.

i tested it: recorded a DVD, and while that, i placed the mobile telephone at the same place as before, and phoned me on my mobile.
but the noise dont appeared . *?*

and i remebering , some months ago, i had this noise, when:
-record from VHS player (3Meters far away) to TV-card (PC)
-the mobile tel. was placed next to the PC-monitor
-the speaker and monitor was running.

the noise was cause the speaker, i though.

Mobile phones, at least mine, continually communicate to find the local cell towers. Mine checks every few seconds. Just keep it away from your cables and computer equipment. A few feet should be plenty.

I think the amount of times the phone contacts the base is dependent on the signal strength. Sometimes, if you are in a position between 2 bases, the phone will change base as the signal strength varies. If you are in a strong signal area the phone will not contact base.

Mine is a 3 Watt 'bag' phone that runs off the vehicle battery. This is a very hilly area and if I have 3 'bars', it's a good enough signal. I have got RF interference in my computer (cable modem) on occasion when the Sheriff's Dept. transmits under the cable TV line outside. Fortunately not when I have been encoding. The HF transciever in my pickup (150W) does the same, so I try not to use it by the cable line. The cable company says they don't have a problem with their line.

  7. thx for replies.

    i have a Siemens MC60.

    hm, i test the follow:

-recording a DVD from VHS while trying manually find local cell tower.
-mobile tel. was placed far away (1 meter) from VHS player, and then near VHS player.

but while find local cell tower , no noise appears.

but the noise appears when i got a SMS, or a tele. call,
when i place it near at VHS player.

now. i have just this reason for the noise yesterday:
that a mobile tel. doenst use the same frequen to find local cell tower.,
