  1. I am trying to burn dvd folders, but when I try to play it as folder it plays like in fast foward mode hearing no sound? And when I burn it to a disc, it plays but no audio? I have the folders arranged in the root as VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS. Then the files in the video folder are the bup, ifo, vob files. But also when I played the vob files by themselves on my mac, they played fine and audio works? but when I play them with dvd player program on mac it plays them superfast with no audio?

    Whats the problem here?

In case this is a mac specific problem you may want to post this in a mac forum.

    If not:
If the vob's play ok but the DVD itself does not play properly with either a software or standalone dvd player then I would reauthor the vob's. You will lose the original menu's and chapters but at least you'll have a working dvd.

p.s. May I expand on VicodiN's comment. I'm not suggesting that this is your case but some new users have requested info on copying or converting video's which they have not purchased or are not in the public domain and this would be against forum rules. Many users are reluctant to answer questions about downloaded files unless the requestor makes it clear that they are legally entitled to back it up. A statement of ownership or licence is not a site policy since in fact the opposite is normally assumed but it may make it easier for some to comment when it is provided.

    cheers

    never had this problem myself.

    1. how did you rip the dvd to your HD
    2. what app did you use to convert it to 4.4 GB
    3. are you using DVD Player to view the video_ts folder?
    4. what app are you using to view the .vob's individually? VLC? If so load the video_ts folder up in there and see how it plays
    5. what app are you using to burn the dvd?

I have only experienced this problem when I author the dvd myself and use the incorrect audio frequency
