  1. I have been having this problem off and on for sometime, and was wondering if anyone else has had this happen? The problem is at some point during the write phase of the copy CloneDVD2 will just stop. No errors, but just stops and it takes a reboot to get it going again. This might happen anywhere during the write from 10% to 98% complete. Each time this happens I have a brand new coaster. System Windows XP, P4 2ghz, 512 ram, Optorite DD0201 at 2.6 firmware. Media is TDK +R, and Memorex +R both 4X. Sure would like to get this problem fixed, due to it is getting kind of expensive. Thanks for any help.

  2. I usually have clonedvd create an iso file and burn with dvddecrypter. I've never used the clonedvd burning engine before.

Well, luck is on your side due to most burning apps having a 30 day trial so you can do some testing. I used to have this problem with Nero v6.x. I downgraded to v5.5.10.56 and now all is well again.

If you can create an image and burn it with other apps successfully then I'd say the version you're currently using is buggy (at least with your system's config).

Recommend buying a RW or two...
