I have recorded shows on my hard drive via my WinFast TV 2000 XP. I would like to just drag and drop the 2-3G mpeg-2 file to be burned on a dvd, as is.
Anyway to do this without having to compile and render (author) first? Seems I should be able to burn "as is". All I want is to be able to play it back on my computer, not on a dvd player.
Tried to drag and drop now and Windows XP thinks that I want to burn a CD and it can't. Figure I need or already have software that I do not know about,...lol...obviously, to burn directly to DVD media. Looked at a few posts on dvdrhelp but all seem to be authoring the file first and then burn. I just want to take the file "as is" and copy it onto DVD media.
I have a TDK 420N DVD burner and Pinnacle Studio 8, that I have used for converting home VHS tapes to DVD+R.
System:
CPU: Athlon 2500+ Barton
MB: Asus A7N8X-Deluxe
DVD Burner: TDK Indi DVD420N DVD+R
Video Card: MSI FX5600
Thanks in advance,
Jack

Just use Nero to burn it as a data disc.

Thanks, had to download latest demo version of Nero. Burned file as data and was able to play back.
Thanks again,
