Totally negative thread, I know. What can I say, sometimes I need to vent. This isn't directed at all noobs by no means. In fact I think they're the minority. Most of you know the type that I mean. I'm curious about what kind of posts really get on your nerves. Here are a few of mine:
When people blame everyone but themselves for crap results
Threads with titles like "quick question" which almost never have simple answers
People that mention things like "movie that's still in theaters.avi"
People that state "I searched the guides" when you know they're full of shit

people who think someone might be talking about ilegal downloads (although they haven't actually said so) and then goad them into saying what they've downloaded (LORT - ROTK for instance) and then report them to the mods for discussing warez.
I can't tell you how much I <edited by WH> hate these <edited by WH>, I wish them <edited by WH>, I honestly do.
And does anyone report these bastards?
No, they don't.
Well, I'm gonna start.
Bastards.
Thanks for letting me vent....
...good thread.

Newbie posts that say "OK, now where do I start?".
Posts that do nothing for the discussion and just start flame wars.
Posters who contradict themselves, but are the loudest to say "my research shows..." when you know they're bullshitting. Cough coughcoughnakedgeekcoughcoughcough.
Posts that make fun of midgets, or clowns, or .....
Posts that make fun of sheep, or goats, or .....
Posts that make fun of Indolikaa, or nuclear weapons, or ...... -

overall, I think the signal-to-noise ratio here is pretty good; it's just that one crap post will draw more energy than 10 helpful ones...- housepig

My Pet Peeves...not really sure I should be posting 'em
but here goes:
-When someone asks a question, and a helpful response is given, and the same person asks the same question again or adds an insult saying that no one answered their question. I see a lot of these type of theads...even been the one to give the response that was ignored a few times.
-When someone or a few people will turn an innocent thread into a political debate/flame war when it started out having absolutely nothing to do with politics.
- When someone deliberately tries to get a thread locked when it involves a topic they don't like. Or should I just say someone who is prone to be offended by every little thing all the time.
- When a topic gets locked that shouldn't be locked because of one person trying to start trouble. I'd rather that person be locked/banned instead.
-When a couple people hijack a thread and start carrying on a conversation that drags on to several pages
Doesn't really bother me but can be annoying sometimes if it kills the original topic...that PM feature is there for a reason though :P
- flame wars in general...some people are just way too uptight.
Ya can't please everyone though no matter what - you'll always have one in every crowd to stir up things. -

Hey, wash your mouth, there are midgets and clowns reading this too."Whenever I need to "get away,'' I just get away in my mind. I go to my imaginary spot, where the beach is perfect and the water is perfect and the weather is perfect. The only bad thing there are the flies. They're terrible!" Jack Handey -
