New To Creating DVD-Rs

Hi. I have a SONY DRU-510A RW DVD. What I would like to know is:

1. How do I put multiple MPG's onto 1 DVD-R With a Picture menu ?

For example: lets say I have 6x700mb .mpg files and would like to add them all to one DVD-R with the capabilities of selecting which file to watch from a menu, playable on a stand alone dvd player under my TV.

2. Can I add multiple divx/xvid files playable in my stand alone dvd player?

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

1. Author with tmpgenc dvd author or any other dvd authoring tool
2. You must convert to dvd mpg or get a dvd player that support divx/xvid.
