Hi
I have been reading this forum with interest and thought I was absorbing the strange world of DVD authoring but I have struck a problem.
For a while now I have been creating high quality DVDs.
I have been capturing using a Frirbird XL as an .avi file
Editing using Pinnacle Studio 9
Rendering as an AVI file using the DV codec
Dropping them into NERO 6 and burning onto DVD-R.
This has all worked very well until recently.
Horizontal red and green lines/bands are appearing on the resultant DVD played on two different DVD players.
I have used all combinations of NERO settings I can think of as well as reinstalling both NERO and Studio9.
The same DVD played on my computer through Power DVD looks perfect.
I read with interest writings on TMPGEnc on this site.
I downloaded the free version and burnt a DVD no lines but reasonable quality I was impressed.
I want one stage further and purchased TMPGEnc Plus so I could use the MPEG2 encoding and get better quality. To my horror the lines came back again - I am back to square one.
I am on a w98se platform.
Does anyone have any ideas where it's falling apart.
Many thanks
