  1. Hi
I wanna find some of the best software that transfer vhs to dvd using my capture card. I looked on here all ready. Didn't find anything good.
Also, can somebody please tell which disc format is the best to burn in
    dvd-r or dvd+r?

  2. Telling us what your capture card is, and what you've tried already might help!

There a lot of arguing about it but I think DVD-R has a slight lead in compatibility over DVD+R. Recommend you use RW until you get the process figured out.

  3. I'm using a pctv capture/tv tuner card. I've tryed win dvr. That actually worked fine for me. The only thing that kept messing up is when I hit record somtimes my computer restart automactily. I tryed using power vcr 2, But I can't seem to get any picture when I playback the movie. All I see is a black screen with the audio playing.

I use mainconcept 1.4.2 for realtime mpeg 2 captures from any analogue source, and I use virtualdub (with warpers...) for capturing any source to avi.

What sw came with your capture card? Why doesn't that work for you?

You're going to be limited on which apps support your hardware. Not all are going to have drivers for it.

If I were you I would try to get the latest version of the factory app that shipped with the card.

That has nothing to do with combatibility, it has to do with features...

  11. I think your problem is due to the limitations of your capture card, and not software related. Perhaps upgrading to a new card would be a viable solution.
