Hi, I have many Divx/Xvid Movies and I decided to convert than to Mpeg2 files, because , my DVD player suports it, but, I don't whant to autore to DVD, I really don't have a DVD recorder, I'll be recording to CDR's.

So As the movies have a low bitrate, I'm usin a bitrate of 1600kbps on Tmpgenc, I keep the size of the original movie. And As I want to add subtitles, I use Vdub to frame serv it to Tmpgenc(Text sub pluggin). I read a lot of topics about convertions, and I saw that the fact of the original file is a 23,97fps, should be solved using 3:2 pull down when playback, I tryed that, but the subtitles got blurred, as if the fields were on diferent vertical position, so the video seems to be shifting up and down a bit. So I tryed IVTC, the Subtitles got PERFECT, but the video, seems to be lacking frames, whenever I have a vertical/horizontal moviment, it seems not linear, it stutters...

I imagine that If I use any method that creates frames to make the movie a 29,97, the audio/video sync would be gone. So What the correct settings for converting that. That keeps Subtittles and Video ok???

    Thanks...

Hi, guys, Before I lose more time with that, I have a question, Can I expect smoth flow moviment, on 23,97FPS films when converting to DVD. The fact of adding frames during Playback, is the same of having all frames recorded during an original Shot. After I begun working with it, I see that All moviments seem strange on NTSC 23,97 movies. When there is a horizontal Pan, it looks like its not linear, like the object goes from left to right without passing through some points alond the way...

I'm talking about DVD reproduction on a Regular TV Set...

Ive heard about, that PAL is much better on this factor, because its already 25FPS, much closer do 23,97...It looks smoother than Ntsc???

    thanks...
