i when i tranfer the movies from the camera to my computer, it gets lite stripes on the movie
like this, but this i is a very extreme example.

And then i compremis it in TMPGEnc, the strips on the movie go away, but the kvalitee is shit. pixel and stuff

The lines you see are interlacing - they're normal. when using TMPGenc make sure you have it set for interlaced output and bottom field first - and a frame rate of 29.97. you now will not see the interlace lines on your TV.

As for the quality of the encode, what settings are you using? for DV material shot not using a tripod i would suggest either a 2-Pass VBR encode with 6500 average 9,000 maximum and 0 minimum (that's 90 minutes on a DVD) or CBR 9,000 (about 60 minutes on DVD)

If you're making SVCD then you will see compression artifacts. consider buying a DVD burner if you want better quality.

im useing 2-pass, i cant understand why the quallity turn out so bad. a had better quallity with my old Hi8.
This camera i have now is a Panasonic NV-GS22. i pretty sure that i can get nice quallity with this camera.

Its when i drive it trough TMPGEnc the quallity get really bad.

I whound to have nice quallity becose im gonna clip together i movie.
    for fun.

Here a 2 pics. the first i when i have capture it to the computer, the quallity is nice.. dont ask for more. the reson i want like to drive it trough TMPGEnc is that the strips disapper, and it gets smaller.
    but the quallity sucks.

i only posted the pic, when its only captured.
(it looks bad, but the camera was not still )

so what i want to do.

: I want to compremiss it in TMPGEnc, so the strips disapper, and i want it to get smaller.

But not loose so much quallity.

    as i said:

I'll add - make sure you don't have any de-interlacing switched on.
Try using the noise reduction filter on some low settings, say 8, 1, 12. this should improve the quality a fair bit. as for the filesize, use the bitrate calculator and you can make it any size you like.

Something else - the pics you posted are odd sizes - are you making your SVCD at the standard 480X576?

    Two things,
    change 4:3 625 line PAL (704x576) to just 4:3 625 line PAL.

change motion search estimate (fast) to high quality (slow)

Have you actually viewed the output on a TV or just on your computer?

Yes! i viewed it on the TV, and it looks fine.
I cant understand that i can loose so much quallity when i compremis it to SVCD.
When i capture it... does it look fine as hell.. just the interlacing i want to go away.

well, that is what happens when you take 35 megabits a second and throw away 33 of them.....

If you want better quality you will need to make DVD's instead.
