CyberHome Compact Multiformat Progressive-Scan DVD Player Model: CH-DVD300S $35.99. I ordered one of these for a rental house from Bestbuys.com which was on back order until monday and have some questions.
1) is it a good dvd player?
2) Multiformat means it plays all regions 1- whatever but what does NTSC, PAL mean?
3) they say this unit is great because it can handle 110 - 230 Volts and 50/60 HZ. does it have a voltage converter built in?
4) Progressive scan is it a big deal and does it matter?
5) someone in the hack forum said something about gateway, is this the computer company and did they make this?
A friend wants this to take back to italy, is it a good choice?

just got this from Bestbuy.com for a next day delivery for $1.24, GOT TO LIKE THAT. The player looks ok, nice picture. I did the region hack and set it to 0 fine. I'm playing it threw a Sansui 27" tv i bought at Wal-Mart using S-VHS setting and cables that came with the DVD player. I friend wants this to take back too Italy and somoene said it works on all voltages, is this true? Funny only a 3 month warrenty
