If i want to play a SVCD with 8MBit/s my standalone DVDplayer can't transfer the datas fast enough. But in this player is an computer DVDROM drive with 24x CD speed. Can i set the transfering speed in nero before i burn the disc so that my standalone dvdplayer reads SVCDs at 10x speed?

Well theres nothing you can set in Nero or any other burning program that will make your dvd player read any faster. Swapping out your dvd player loader with a dvd-rom can allow your svcd to be read faster, and ultimately play at higher bitrates but you have to realize that the software the dvd player uses most likely wont support speeds much higher than the svcd standard.
