  1. heres the deal, im new i dont know much about dvd ripping etc.
    i know how to burn regualr audio cd and data cd using nero.

    heres the question. i have a anime w/ 26 episodes that is exactly 4.36 gb and should fit on one 4.47 gb dvd disc.

    the problem is its all in avi files encoded using xvid with lame mp3 audio
    at 640x480, i dont know what i am suppose to do so that i can get it to play on my pioneer 353 dvd player so that i can watch it on tv rather than my computer screen.

    Convert them to DVD compliant mpeg, author then burn. The size of the avi's is irrelevant, it's the running time that matters. You adjust your bitrate to fit as much on the disk as required. Adjust your resolution depending on your bitrate, lower bitrate means lower res. means lower quality. Match the resolution (and frames per second) of your mpegs to your avi's for best results. DVD has three basic resolutions to choose from.
