I have been using DVDShrink 2.3, 3.1.6, and now 3.1.7.6 to rip DVD or portion of DVD disk into VOB on hard disk. I can watch these VOB using PowerDVD. I can burn these VOB using Nero to watch on DVD player.

When I want to add menu, I have to import these VOB into Ulead DVD Workshop 2 or Ulead DVD MovieFactory 2. However, some VOB imported is totally black in a rectangle of "Select Scenes to Capture" window.
To find out what wrong with these VOB, I open them in Rosio Video Pack 5.1 to convert them to MPEG, I get error message such as unable to convert.

Would anyone have any information or hints that can help me solve this problem, or at least help me undertand why some VOB are black when imported (but OK to watch with PowerDVD or burnt out to watch with DVD Player). I would appreciate your help. Thank you in advance.

I just found out that if video is 16.9 and 8000 kbits/s or 4.3 and 7000 kbits/s then the picture is OK otherwise the picture is totally black such as 4.3 with any other bit rate.
