  1. well 1st ive been all through the guides and the forum doing all kinds of searches .. but i run into 1 problem when trying to convert Svcd to dvd... when put in the svcd in the drive and open the folders i dont c my . dat file which is supposed to b in the MPEGAV folder(i dont have that folder)


    but i do have a .dat in other folder but the program TMPGEnc wont accept it .. which makes me stuck so maybe someone here could help me plz

    I think you need to spend a little more time in the guides section. SVCD's are mpeg-2. The movie file(avseq.mpg) is located in the MPEG2 folder. Use IsoBuster to extract it because you need to remove some extra header info in the mpeg.   3. i think ur reffering to just putting the svcd on a dvd r .... actually wat i want to do is convent them to dvd format so that itll play on lets say a ps2

    The guides still apply despite what you think. Not only that, you won't even have to re-encode your mpegs. If you still want to convert them to a full-blown 720x480 that will probably look worse than the original mpeg, that's up to you. TMPGEnc can re-encode for you but you'll still have to use a seperate authoring program to create the proper DVD file structure. You can find lots of articles in the guides section on encoding, as well as authoring.
