worst gambling loss

i had an all inspiring night to a post this one. lost $1700 last night(a few hours ago) in the megabucks slot machine(the one that always has at least a few million $ progressive), i really really really didnt wanna go to work on monday(still dont). oh well, only $700 of it was out of my pocket. i actually won a grand on that machine, then it just sucked it right back in.

Overall I am down about $200 to the casino in my year or so of playing.

My friends and I have a pretty good system set up with the chocolate wheel and the lazy spinner which is easy to exploit.

It can be tough sometimes. The 'sucessful' gamblers I know set a loss limit and stick to it. Last time I was in Vegas the cab driver said he just took a couple to the airport that had flown in that morning. The guy won $40,000 on a slot machine and he decided for once he was going to take it with him. I play the small slots, $20 at a time, when I lose $15, I quit and try another machine. I was $80 ahead when I went home. A lot of fun, but don't get addicted.

overall im still up for the year so i dont feel all to bad... but you cant win if you dont play at all, and yeah before you even think about starting you have to have a limit...dont bring all your money with unless your willing to lose it haha

I lost $100 back in 2000 in Vegas (I'm in the UK) and about £40 a couple of months ago at Poker, and that's really it to speak of.

I played the lottery three times and on my third go, I got four numbers. I won £49, so I'm currently £46 up on them.

That was two years ago. I've not played since.

Total of $20 lost. I gamble very little (only twice ever). I just don't find it entertaining for long periods.

However, I do have very fond memories of Vegas when I was 15 on a family trip to the Grand Canyon. Of course I was too young to gamble, but I did play in the arcades. You know those crane machines where you win stuffed animals? I got kicked out for winning too much!!! No Joke! I won 22 times in something around 30 tries. I guess they thought I was cheating
