    Hi,

I have 3 x 20min video files and want to burn them onto a VCD (with a VCD menu) in Toast 6 Titanium.

Ive tried a few times but every time I burn it and try to play it on my DVD player the video files are there (they can play fine), but there is NO VCD MENU!

What am I doing wrong? Coz i've been able to create VCD Menus with other stuff in Toast.

    Thanks

It is possible your DVD player does not support VCD menus.

Did you customize the toast menu PSD?
If it isn't broken, take it apart and find out why.

I suppose that means no. I mean it is possible to customize the look of the menus that Toast generates, but if you screw up, you can really screw up. Anyway, does it help if you only use two of these files to make your VCD, or if you add them in a different order?

I've tried adding just 2 of the 3 files, same thing happens. And adding the files in a different order won't help either. I have no idea why the hell it isn't working. Oh, and no, I can't customize the VCD menus in Toast.

  9. I suppose you could use MissingMenuGen. Then select Multitrack XA and drag the img files in sequentially (you can ignore the gap images and toc file)[/url]

MissingMenuGen isn't really what I want. I just what to find out WHY I can't get the Toast VCD menus to work with these 3 particular movie (MPEG-1) fies.

I know this is a stupid question, but you didn't specifically say how you set up the burn in Toast. Did you have "Create VCD Menu" checked on in the advanced tab of the Toast video setup?

Yeah...of course... I wouldn't be so confused about whythere is no VCD menu if I didn't have the 'Create VCD Menu' button checked.

I'd suggest deleting toast and all toast related items and do a reinstall.

that or instead of burning to a cd, burn as a disk image to your hd and preview the file in VLC as open disc. If menu's load then you know the problem lies somewhere between the disk and your player

you could try tossing the prefs and restarting the app, or just doing a complete reinstall

    they work for me......
