  1. Hi, I've been doing back-ups of my DVD's using:
    DVD Decrypter -> DVD2One -> CopyToDVD.

    So far, no problems.

    I went to run through this process with another of my DVD's, but after using DVD Decrypter I noticed that the files ripped to my HD were only just over 4gb in size.

    I presumed the DVD was SL, and skipped the DVD2One stage - going straight to CopyToDVD.

    But:
    The back-up DVD plays fine via my PC - but not via my standalone DVD player. ( ? )
    Would DVD2One have done something else that is preventing the back-up from working on my standalone player?
    If there something else I need to do with DVD-5?

    (All my other Back-ups play fine. I even tried with 2 different media - both of which work fine when backing up DVD-9)

  2. read in iso mode, write in iso mode, using dvddecrypter.

    that's all you need to do.

  4. If it truly is single layer, you should be fine as long as you rip all the files to your hard drive, and not just the main movie. The easy way to do this is what was mentioned above. If, however, the disc is dual layer, but you only ripped the main movie, you do need to run it through DVD2One or similar program to get the right .ifo and .bup files for your set top player to play it.
