lexmark prob?

ok i have a lexmark x74, now 4 some reason, it is not working, it is a combie ( ie printer scanner etc), the light inside is not lighting up? would this stop it from working? any iedas?

Please bare with me but I've got to ask, are you sure it getting power? Most likely the bulb is not working because there is no power to the printer/sanner. Anyway double check all conections.

soz, i was'nt being cocky? just like joking if u knw wht i mean, the light to the scanner is not lighting up now wht im asking is do u think tht would stop the printer from working?

No I don't think the light being out would effect it at all but I thought it migh have been an indication that there was a power problem. BTW my scanner's light only comes on when I'm scanning. However I do not have a lexmark combo

mmm, i knw but when i use 2 boot up my other scanner the light use 2 cme on, now my stauts light is on ( i mean the little green men i mean light) but nothing else? and my laptop & pc is notpicking it up, ive also checked the usb lead ( tried wiv new lead), i think it might be a hw fault?

I had a very very small problem with lexmark x74 x74, you can't even call it a problem, I called Lexmark and my warranty was expiring next month, they sent me a new one today in 3 days of confirming my purchase receipt, that was good and they don't even want that old one back However my lexmark wasn't used much in 11 months to print more than 15 pages, however I did print about 50 pages to get my margin correct which I couldn't and got replacement for that.

My two cents?
I freaking HATE Lexmark stuff. I hate "gravity feed" printers in general and since most Lexmark's are exactly that my opinions are a bit jaded.
Your combo may not be a gravity feed but it has "that" name on it....YUK.
I'll take my old HP tray feeders any day. Sure it occasionally grabs more than one sheet...they are not perfect either....but much more so that any Lexmark I have ever owned.

i just called Lexmark & the person who i spoke with, that there are test's they need to do, so i said ok, she used as an example that there might be a pen in my feed tray? what does she think i do do, feed the printer pens? sounds like they got a load of monkeys working for them!
