DVD/CD Burning Freezes Randomly!

I know this is a very generic post, but I'm kind of stumped. I just reinstalled XP Home and all of my regular drivers, etc. Nero 6 Ultra, video, nforce, etc.

I've been having random lockups burning DVDs and CDs. Nero will just "freeze" although the time elapsed counter continues counting. The buffer status freezes and also the burning light goes off on my burner. I can click stop and it asks me if I'm sure, and I can click yes, and it will still just sit there, not doing anything. I can't even eject the disc, have to reset my computer. I've ruined about 7 DVD+r discs and about 10 CD-R discs so far. I checked the ASPI information using infotool and it shows that Nero's ASPI is installed correctly and System ASPI is not installed.

I'm kind of stumped, it used to work perfectly before I reformatted my computer. I can't help but think I might have missed something somewhere. Possibly installing the nForce IDE drivers? I can't remember if I had those installed before or not.

It seems that there may be a problem with my nVidia IDE drivers. Will uninstall them when I get home from work. Just wanted to update this in case anyone else is having trouble and had difficulty finding this solution.
