I just burned my first DVD from a DV camcorder...I captured the video using Nero 6 and just burned the raw footage, no chapters, graphics, etc., it took almost 4 hours to burn usind a NEC 2x DVD burner...the captured video was only 61-minutes..is this normal to take this long to read, "transcoding streams", "testing speed of device",and finally buning project onto disk"?
Thanks in advance
Angela

It's not the burning taking up most of your time, it's the conversion of the video from DV-avi to mpeg. The actual burning at 2x is only about 30 mins.
BTW, if you had a faster computer then the conversion would be faster, it's all in the CPU speed..in your case 1.8GHz."Art is making something out of nothing and selling it." - Frank Zappa
