  1. I've made a film in 30 minutes in premiere 6.0 which I want on a DVD. I'm using DVD-lab for authoring.

But I've have some problem with the exporting from premiere.

I don't have a MPEG codec available directly from premiere.

An uncompressed avi file gets to big (80 GB approxemently)

A Microsoft DV avi-file is almost perfect for my use, but it destroys the films still pictures.

The film is mainly film from DV, which works great together with the Windows DV avi-filetype, but I have some stills which gets crappy when using this codec. What should I do?

PS: I'm using premiere 6.0. PAL. Going to use TMPEG-encoder for mpeg-coding, and DVD-lab for authoring.

Can someone give me a good answer why my stills get crappy with the DV-format?

  2. use adobe MPEG encoder. goto file>export>Adobe MPEG encoder
unless that is only in 6.5.
then jusst select dvd or set all the settings yourself in advanced options.

  3. Well, the Adobe MPEG Encoder is not available for Premiere 6.0 (I think).

But I found another way. I downloaded the Video Server plugin which makes it possible for Premiere to send information directly to TMPEG Encoder which then generates a MPEG file of great quality!!!
