I'm trying to create backups for my single layer DVDs. I have a Pioneer DVR-A03.

So I started with the movie "Gattaca". I ripped it using SmartRipper, and burned it using the Prassi SW that came with the burner. The backup DVD works perfectly in my standalone DVD player.

I tried since with several other DVDs that I have. Everything goes smoothly until I want to read the DVDs in my standalone DVD player. I get a "disc error" when I try to read it.

Why did it work with "Gattaca", and why doesn't it work with other movies???
