  1. I own an English Conversation school in Japan, and I have a promotion party next week. I know thats not a lot of time to put something together, but I would like to try anyway. Is there any video editing stuff out there, easy to use, simple effects for going from pic to pic, or avi to avi...and control of music or sound effects in the background. Of course shareware would be nice, but if theres some trial stuff it would also be good. Eventually I would like to buy something and try putting together something really nice!! Any advice...

For pics, Slide Show Movie Maker (freeware). For movies, Honestech Video Editor(trialware). I'm not sure if it leaves a watermark on the trial version though.

May I suggest DVD Picture Show. It should be available as a
full working trial either by itself or as part of DVD Movie Factory.

I just checked and its had 68 views so far I would have thought it would be in the thousands by now , with all the folks out there eager to help of course. Nothing to do with dyslexia.

There was a thread about something like this a while back.....

I prefer to make my own intros. Adobe Premiere, after effects and Photoshop are pretty hard to beat...if the budget will handle them.

  10. Ulead Video Studio 7 is a nice program. They do have a trial version, but the full package is nice. The trial version is pretty cheap.
