In dark, preferably on my own (wait till she goes out), 8 cans of lager and some crisps.
I shout at the screen if I am getting annoyed with the characters. -
With friends mostly. It depends though on the friend, some of my friends annoy me with their movie-watching habits such as mobile phone use and talking constantly.Originally Posted by Rookie64

Usually. Skittles are my favourite.Do you usually eat snacks during a movie?
Pause the movie, hate going to do something like answering the phone then coming back and realising you missed a crucial plot point.Do you pause the movie for interruptions (bathroom breaks, to get something to snack on, phone calls, etc) or keep the movie going?
Depends on the movie, if it's something like the Shawshank Redemption then no, if its Dude, Where's my Car then most likely.Do you talk during a movie?
If it's a friend I find it hard sometimes to tell them to be quiet, if it's a stranger in the cinema I'll tell them to shut the hell up.Do you put up with others talking during a movie?
Like above it depends on the movie, if its like Super Troopers my mates and I are always doing the quotes along with it.Do you talk back to the screen?
Always watch it from beginning to end unless it is so boring in which case I would most likely turn it off. When watching a movie for the first time, do you watch from beginning to end or jump/scan/fast forward to the good parts (battle scenes, gore, sex scenes, etc)?
If they have clips playing during the credits I will stay to watch them or if I know their is something after the credits I'll stay otherwise no.Do you watch the credits at the end of the movie?
If the movie is good and I want to know more then yes, if the movie was crap then no.Do you watch the extras on a DVD (deleted scenes, behind the scenes footage, etc) ?
If I especially liked the movie or a friend comes over and wants to watch it and I have nothing better to do then yes.Do you usually watch a movie you rented more than one time?
One that I kind of disliked, Club Dread, I watched again and found that I enjoyed it much better the second time.Would you ever watch a movie again that you didn't like?
If so, have you ever ended up liking a movie you didn't like on first view?
Most of my close mates and I have the same type of humour and tastes so normally we both want to see the same movies however I also like independant and arthouse films so it's sometimes hard finding a friend to go see that with.If you watch movies with anyone else, do you agree on the same type of movies or does someone have to compromise?
I have comprised when the female gender was involved but sometimes that leads to seeing a good movie I would have otherwise missed.
None that come to mind although I do like having the surround sound system pumping up loud instead of listening through something like headphones.Do you have any other movie viewing habits or special preferences?
At Cinemas:What movies have you seen most recently?
Club Dread - I really liked after the 2nd viewing.
The Girl Next Door - Again I really liked this movie.
50 First Dates - Love Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler when they combine ala the Wedding Singer.
Jeepers Creepers 2 - Crap Crap Crap.
At Home:
The Shawshank Redemption - Masterpiece.
Midnight Run - Classic buddy film.
Good Advice - bit soppy and predictable but I didn't mind it. -
With spouse/special someone so I can point out the technical inconsistencies

Lights on ..and what's a movie without nachos or popcorn?
Pause for piss breaks
HATE it when others talk while I'm watching, but it's OK for me to talk if it's pointing out above-mentioned technical inconsistencies
Talk back to the screen? Not since I've been on medication
All the way through for all movies
I don't watch the credits unless it's one of the Naked Gun movies
Only watch rented movies once
Have watched many movies I didn't like more than once (spouse/special someone's chick-flicks
)
Compromise. My litmus test is: Does it have nuclear weapons, inferences to nuclear weapons, history of nuclear weapons, firearms in abundance, war, martial arts, explosives (conventional), computer hacking, fist-fighting, plenty of T&A mixed with the story, biological scenarios, space objects, cars, car racing, car chases, time travel, midget clowns or space travel?. These are automatic picks for me. Others might be good too, but I have to be convinced first by a catchy trailer.
No unusual viewing habits (not counting porn)

Compromise. People in the house always want to see movies like Scarface, Menace II Society, and American History X. Over and over and over. If I ever want to watch Lord of the Rings, Lost in Translation, or any non gangster crime movie, they'll be like, "Get that stupid shit out of here."Originally Posted by Rookie64

Shawshank is great and so is Midnight Run. I remember seeing it back in the 80's several times and loved it. Dennis Farina was ******* hilarious and I've loved his work ever since.Originally Posted by pacmania_2001

Cold Creek Manor -
In the dark, with wife or wife and friends, try not to snack too much, pause to pee, can't hear anybody talking with the surround sound cranked up, beginning to end, credits only to see who an actor is, extras very rarely, our movie tastes are similar (lots of stuff blowing up), recently saw: actually just got home from preview of The Alamo (Pretty good, 3 out of 5 stars IMHO).
jbcandkcI'm just sitting here watching the wheels go round and round.
