I'm backing up the Led Zeppelin DVD set through DVDShrink, and there are alot of audio streams... Not sure which ones are necessary and which are not. One of them. 'LPCM 2. ch unspecified' is 1.2 Gb! The othertypes are:
AC3 5.1
DTS 5
AC3.2
Being a relative newbie to these audio streams, I have not been that familiar with audio other than the usual ones I see, like the 5.1. Can anyone tell me which are necessary, and which may not be?
thanks

i would keep the DTS 5 (though not nessessary - but best sound for the surround options) and ac3.2 (for compatability)

BTW, are there any sites (or previous posts) you know of that give some further info on various audio streams and what they are? Just trying to learn a bit more about them. -
Only keep DTS if you have a DTS capable dvd player & amplifer, otherwise you will get no sound.
AC3 5.1 is the DVD standard for audio. It is a must have (some may argue). Even if you dont have a dolby 5.1 capable amplifier at the moment - the next amp you by will.
LPCM is very high quality (96kHz/24-bit) uncompressed audio. Though as with DTS it not supported by all amplifiers.
and AC3.2 - I can only assume this is AC3 2 channel.
So seeing your copying to DVD5 id stick with AC3 5.1 to save room & preserve video quality.
